Carl (matt Dillon) and Molly Peterson (Kate Hudson) have just got married. But Carl's best friend Randy Dupree (Owen Wilson), has nowhere to live. So Carl invites Randy to live with them. It's not the best way to start married life, especially when Randy nearly burns their house down. Soon Carl learns that two is a couple, and three is a crowd.
